Theme: “RESTORED”
“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
— St. Matthew 11:28
Join us as we set apart three Wednesdays, October 7, 14, and 21, 2026, for prayer and fasting.
FASTING TIME:
5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Our central theme will be: “Restored.”
“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.”
— Joel 2:25
Joel 2:25 is a biblical promise of complete restoration, physical provision and spiritual renewal from God after a time of severe devastation.
The prophet Joel describes a literal and devastating plague of locusts that destroyed the crops, vines and livelihood in ancient Israel over multiple years.
We often assume God cares only about our souls. But He cares about the whole person: our spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and financial well-being. Nothing about our lives is too small or too ordinary for His attention.
Many of us have been going through various struggles that have left us devastated. Some are experiencing challenges with their health, while others are struggling with their mental, financial, or emotional wellbeing.
To be transparent, I want to share that I have been struggling with my health over the past month. There have been moments when I have wondered, “Where is God in this season of struggle?”
“I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
— Hebrews 13:5
God cares about even the smallest details of our lives. We are not promised a life free of trials, but we are promised His presence through every one of them.
In Joel 2, we see Israel experiencing devastation as a result of God’s judgment and His call for His people to return to Him.
The destruction of their crops became a wake-up call, urging the people to turn back to God with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Yet even in the midst of judgment, God reveals His compassion and mercy toward His people.
God reminded them that their hardship would not have the final word. In Joel 2:25, He promised to restore the years that had been consumed by locusts and other destructive forces.
Then in Joel 2:26-27, He assured them that they would eat in plenty, be satisfied, and know that He was in their midst.
WHAT AN ENCOURAGEMENT!
Sometimes we find ourselves caught in a whirlwind, even while walking in obedience to God's will.
Walking uprightly does not exempt us from storms, but we can rest assured that no storm lasts forever.
If you are in a difficult season today, be patient in your storm and keep your eyes fixed on the great God of heaven.
Your circumstances may change, your body may grow weary, and your emotions may be overwhelmed, but God remains faithful.
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
— Psalm 30:5
And 1 Peter 5:10 gives us this precious promise: after we have suffered for a while, the God of all grace will restore, strengthen, establish, and settle us.
So, don’t lose hope in your storm.
God sees you.
God knows what you are going through.
God cares about you.
God is still with you.
Your present struggle is not the end of your story. Keep trusting God, keep standing on His Word, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.
The storm may be raging now, but it is not the end of your story. Joy cometh in the morning.
